Watercolour update

This is another watercolour I did for my Thursday class this week. We were told to use an unorthodox medium, and my choice was gourmet sodas. I used some of my favourite flavours ( cherry orange, cream, bubblegum, green apple, and root beer), from Hanks and Jones soda brands. Only problem is the excess amount of soda that was left over, which I ended up sharing with some of the folks from my course.

Work in progress

I've been doing more modelling practice to sharpen my skills with blender. I saw the amp for my guitar collecting dust in the corner of my room and thought, why not.

It isn't quite finished yet (the lighting is still pretty off in my opinion). Aside from lighting i think I might put my guitar in the picture as well. I should have it done pretty quickly if I don't get sidetracked (and that is very likely).

Older work

I got a handful of my sketches to show you guys, that came from my old portfolio and class projects.

Life Drawings

Layout

And observational sketches

I'm still waiting for the requirement letter for game design in the mail so I have no idea if any of these are useable, but I'm hoping to put new stuff in anyway.

Watercolours!!!!!

So here's a watercolour painting I did for my friday painting class. It's been a while since I've painted with watercolours, but it's just as fun as when I remember it. Strange, it looks a lot better as a jpeg than the original. Anyway more stuff up soon!

A Tribute To An Awesome Title

It seems like a long time ago that this game came out, but I've been rarin' to play it again (just as soon as I'm done playing Assassin's Creed 3). The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword held a particular charm for me, and like other instalments before it, were just amazing games to play. I liked the design of the shield, so I decided to take a crack at modelling it. The texturing is kind of boring, but I though the compositing went well, and I was happy that i did since it's a weakness I have. I enjoyed the process, and overall I was pretty happy with it.

Building up the blog

A lot of my blender work will be pretty slow going for a while since I have quite a bit of schoolwork to do, not to mention that modelling in 3D takes up quite a bit of time. I can't stress enough that I'm just a baby when it comes to both art and 3d modelling, but I learn a little more everyday. Until I catch up a bit, a lot of the work posted will actually be older stuff I did before this blog went up. Cheers.

Dragon Head Model

Getting started on the blog, I thought that I would post something I was proud of. This was a model dragon head I worked on in blender. I haven't textured it yet, and there are a lot of hiccups in the mesh, but I hope to fix that soon. This took me about an hour to think out, and another few hours to model. I'm not sure how to map it yet, but I'm open to suggestions.

First Post (woot!)

So today I plan to get this blog up and running. I think I'll find some 3d models to post first, then put up some of my life drawings and watercolour paintings (assuming I can find them in my mess of a room).
